4 men cited for shrimping out of season

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says four men have been cited for shrimping during a closed season in Plaquemines Parish.
Cited were Rodney Hereford Jr., 28, and Mark Farrell, 41, both of Slidell. They were skimming in Black Bay on April 29. Agents seized 60 pounds of shrimp.
Also cited were Lenny Serpas Jr., 52, and Aaron Serpas, 19, both of Meraux. Those two men were skimming in Black Bay on April 30. Agents seized 40 pounds of shrimp from their boat.
The men face up to $950 in fines and up to 120 days in jail.
