FRANKLIN, La. (AP) - Four amendments to the home rule charter will be on the Nov. 11 ballot in St. Mary Parish.
The Daily Review reports two of the proposals would raise salaries for the parish president and Parish Council members.
Another proposal raises term limits on the parish president from two four-year terms to three terms.
The fourth proposed amendment would extend council-member term limits to three terms in any single member or at-large seat.
Current limits are set at two terms, but do not restrict council members from serving two terms in a single-member or at-large seat followed by two terms in the other.
