4 accused of Medicare fraud in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - U.S. Attorney Donald J. Cazayoux Jr. says four former employees at two Baton Rouge psychiatric clinics have been charged with mail-fraud conspiracy in connection with alleged Medicare losses that could exceed $37 million.
Cazayoux tells The Advocate the investigation is continuing.
Cazayoux says Teryl C. Vincent, Todd D. Ulmer and Nancy N. Reed, all of Baton Rouge, and June M. Durio of Greenwell Springs are accused in a bill of information of working with others to defraud the nation's insurer for the elderly and disabled.
Michael A. Fiser, attorney for Reed, said Thursday she will not fight her felony conspiracy charge.
And Thomas C. Damico, attorney for Vincent, said she will plead guilty to the conspiracy charge.
