LONGVIEW, Texas (AP) - Louisiana authorities have arrested a third person now facing capital murder charges for the slaying of a Texas man whose beaten and burned body was found a week ago in East Texas's Upshur County.
Vernon Parish officials tell the Longview News-Journal 21-year-old Andrew Conrad Norwine was arrested Tuesday, is jailed in Leesville, La., under $1 million bond and awaiting extradition to Texas.
Twenty-year-old Sarah Haslam and 19-year-old Daniel Jones, both of Longview, also are charged with the beating death of 27-year-old Ronnie Joe Gammage. Court documents say the death was related to Gammage's attempt to regain property after his wallet was stolen in a November mugging.
Gammage was reported missing Dec. 8. His body was found two weeks later.
