3rd Annual Festival of Words

The 3rd Annual Festival of words begins today in Grand Coteau, Sunset, Arnaudville and surrounding communities. The event celebrates the written and spoken word through public readings and performances, student creative writing contests; open mics; writing workshops in the schools and community; and "drive-by poetry."

The 2010 festival features Poet Laureate Darrell Bourque, Olympia Vernon, Kendra Hamilton, Toby Daspit and the Eclectic Truth Poetry Slam Team 2010 of Baton Rouge.

Everyone is invited to attend.
