3000 dollars worth of crawfish was stolen from a newly formed company in St. Landry Parish.

Jay Guidry came in Sunday morning to find that overnight, four 50-pound boxes of processed crawfish meat was gone. Guidry noticed the door was open and a lock broken.

The owners and sheriff's department believe the crawfish will be sold for quick cash, but hope a unique characteristic on the bag will help find those responsible.

The bags are labeled J. Bernard Seafood Incorporated, which is different from most labels in this area. The company is offering a 500 dollar reward.

If anyone comes across this crawfish or has any information please call St. Landry Crimestoppers at 948-TIPS.
