METAIRIE, La. (AP) - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says authorities have arrested three suspects in a pair of carjackings this week in Metairie.
Two of the suspects - 20-year-old Thomas Riles, of New Orleans, and a 17-year-old boy from New Orleans - were arrested Monday night and booked on armed robbery charges. The sheriff's office said they were apprehended while driving a Nissan Altima that was stolen from a 35-year-old man at gunpoint Sunday.
On Tuesday, investigators arrested a third suspect - also a 17-year-old boy from New Orleans - who allegedly drove a Lexus that was stolen from a 67-year-old man at gunpoint on Monday night.
The sheriff's office says detectives have video footage of the two stolen vehicles passing by the same location at the same time.
