3 New Iberia men accused of armed robbery

Three New Iberia men are accused of robbing two teens at gunpoint Thursday night.

Sheriff Louis Ackal advises that on May 30, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at the 8100 Block of Leleux Road.

Deputies located and detained three suspects believed to be involved in the robbery, according to a press release.

The victims, 15 and 18-years-old, were held at gunpoint and robbed. A shot was allegedly fired at the ground near the victims.

The three suspects were located and detained by patrol deputies and brought to the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol Center to be questioned by detectives.

Three suspects were arrested for the robbery they are as follows:

Kelby Fredrick DOB 10-30-1988 of 7004 Leleux Road, New Iberia. Charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and armed robbery

Levis Myres DOB 07-02-1994 OF 7100 Leleux Road, New Iberia Charged with armed robbery

Paul Myers DOB 08-12-1991 of 7100 Leleux Road, New Iberia, LA charged with armed robbery
