WEST MONROE, La. (AP) State Fire Marshall Butch Browning says authorities found no working fire alarms or smoke detectors in a mobile home where a fire claimed three lives over the weekend.

Browning said three unidentified men between the ages of 18-28 died in the West Monroe fire late Saturday night.

A neighbor saw smoke coming from a vent in the home and called for emergency help. Four Ouachita Parish trucks responded to the fire and arrived within four minutes.

Officials say the bodies have been sent to a crime lab in Little Rock, Ark. for autopsies.
