NEW ORLEANS (AP) Police in New Orleans are investigating three early morning shooting deaths.

A 79-year-old man, Alfred J. Andrews, who was hospitalized with a possibly self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face, has been identified as a suspect.

Around 3 a.m. Wednesday, police responding to reports of a shooting found a dead woman, Wanda Wagner Simpson, age 50, outside a house in the Treme (Treh MAY') neighborhood.

SWAT team members were summoned after officers heard shots. They entered the home and found two more dead women, identified as Simpson's daughters 31-year-old Jennifer Muse and 25-year-old Monica Muse.

Police said Jennifer Muse was Andrews' girlfriend. Court records cited by The Times-Picauyune show Andrews was acquitted Monday of domestic abuse battery.
