ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (AP) - The West Feliciana Parish sheriff says one of three teenagers accused of stealing approximately 60 street-name signs from rural roads says he did it because he was "bored."
The signs were taken over the New Year's holiday weekend from several areas of the parish.
Sheriff J. Austin Daniel Sheriff's says investigators recovered some of the missing signs from a pasture in Pointe Coupee Parish, while one of the suspects told deputies he threw the signs he had into the Mississippi River and a creek.
Sheriff's deputies arrested 19-year-old and James Dalton Morrison and a 17-year-old Wednesday night. They were booked with felony theft.
On Thursday, deputies arrested a 16-year-old boy and released him to the custody of his parents.
