3 arrested in underage drinking at party

ST. AMANT, La. (AP) - Ascension Parish deputies arrested a woman and two teenagers after a Halloween party at a parish facility in St. Amant became marred by underage drinking and fighting.
42-year-old Donna Boeta had rented the St. Amant Recreation Center for a Saturday night party thrown by a 17-year-old girl who is a family friend. The girl had sold bracelets to youths at her school good for admittance to the party.
As part of the rental contract, Sheriff Jeff Wiley said Boeta agreed to purchase an insurance policy and provide security at the party. However, authorities learned that security was not present, and Boeta had to leave the party for a family emergency.
Deputies arrested Boeta on a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
