Three juveniles have been arrested in the vandalism of the old Live Oak High School football field house.
Livingston Parish deputies say two 13-year-olds and a 14-year-old, all students in the Live Oak school district, were arrested Wednesday and taken to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center and booked with burglary, attempted aggravated arson and felony criminal damage to property.
Deputies were called to the old high school campus around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in response to evidence of vandalism found at the football field house and in two rooms of the main building on campus.
The Advocate reports the damage estimated at $25,000 or more included spray-painted walls, broken windows and equipment, emptied fire extinguishers and the remains of a fire in the coach's office.
