3 accused of manufacturing meth

Wednesday night, investigators with the Morgan City Police Department served an outstanding warrant for one of the city's most-wanted suspects.

David Mire, 37, was wanted for allegedly possessing a clandestine lab back in February.

Police located Mire in the 300 block of Fifth St. in Morgan City along with Eddie Mayfield and Tiffany Chauvin, who were allegedly in the process of operating a clandestine lab to manufacture Methamphetamine, a controlled dangerous substance.

Hazmat was called to the scene to dispose of the meth lab, according to police.

All three suspects were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and remain incarcerated. According to police, Chauvin was in possession of Methadone and Xanax, both controlled substances, at the time of her arrest.

All three remain incarcerated with no bond set at this time.

Eddie T. Mayfield, 28, of Morgan City, is charged with:

Tiffany Chauvin, 31, of Morgan City, is charged with:

Create/Operate a Clandestine Laboratory for the Unlawful Manufacture of CDS; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Methadone; Possession of Schedule IV CDS-Xanax
