THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Police in Thibodaux have made a second arrest in an alleged scheme to fake time sheets for people ordered to perform community service.
The Daily Comet reports that police arrested 44-year-old Jeanette Anderson of Thibodaux. Anderson is a custodian in the city recreation department.
She was booked after her Thursday arrest with 17 counts of injuring a public record. Arrested earlier in the case was a Thibodaux Parks Department secretary, 32-year-old Trish Gaudet, who was fired Wednesday.
Gaudet is accused of accepting money in return for faking time sheets. Police said Anderson helped Gaudet "negotiate prices" in the cash-for-hours scheme.
