The Congrès Mondial Acadien -- or "World Acadian Congress" -- brings together Acadians and their friends from around the world for several days of celebration. Held every 5 years, the event takes place in the weeks surrounding August 15th, which is the National Day of Acadia. The 2014 Congrès starts Friday in Edmundston, New Brunswick.
