In memory of Brian Bordelon, a former LANtec instructor who passed away in 2008 from cancer at the age of 37, LANtec is offering the 5th Annual Brian Bordelon Memorial Scholarship to one deserving Louisiana student. LANtec is offering 20 days of training, with all courseware included to the chosen winner. This candidate, with guidance from the LANtec team, will select which courses to take that best suit their academic needs and career aspirations from LANtec's list of scheduled classes.

Submit the completed application, as well as a one to two page essay describing why you should be considered for the award, explain your interest and experience with computers, your long-term goals and how you plan to use the training if you are selected. Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 25, a high school senior or graduate, and reside in one of the following parishes: Acadiana, Ascension, East and West Baton Rouge, Iberia, Iberville, Lafayette, Livingston, St. Landry, St. Martin and Vermillion. Applications are due no later than May 15, 2014.
