Baton Rouge, LA - The 2013 Bayou Country Superfest rocked LSU Tiger Stadium Saturday
and Sunday, as Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, Darius Rucker and other country music stars made the Baton Rouge mega-fest a Memorial Day Weekend celebration to remember.
On Friday, Festival producers also announced that next year's festival-the 5th anniversary event-is confirmed for May 24-25, 2014. Quint Davis, producer/director of Bayou Country Superfest, said, "This year we are celebrating two festivals at the same time: this year's and next year's. Bayou Country Superfest is now the annual event we've all worked so hard to make it become."
Nearly 70,000 Festival-goers attended Bayou Country Superfest during the two days and nights of tailgating and concerts. Fans came from 46 states to join the party, and some journeyed from as far away as Puerto Rico, Canada and Scotland. Also performing on the main stage in Tiger Stadium were Thompson Square, Aaron Lewis, Rodney Atkins, and Frankie Ballard, with additional performances by local and regional artists at the Festival's free Fan Fest. As always, the sprawling, fun-filled Tailgate Party surrounding Tiger Stadium helped set the vibe for the entire weekend.
Sponsors of the 2013 Bayou Country Superfest included: The State of Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation & Tourism; Visit Baton Rouge; Bud Light, the official beer sponsor of Bayou Country Superfest; L'Auberge Casino; the Louisiana Lottery; and Fan Photo.
BayouCountrySuperfest.com, the Festival's official website, and the event's social media outlets will offer all of the details about the 2014 music lineup and the tickets on-sale date as soon as they become available.
