Louisiana Education Loan Authority is accepting entries through Nov. 1, 2013, for its 2013 Holiday Art Scholarship Contest, in partnership with the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts (GRFA).
The contest, which is open to high school seniors, challenges student artists to create holiday art under the theme, "Louisiana Holiday Cheer and Happy New Year."
Lela will award up to $6,000 in college scholarships to students who submit the top six designs. The 1st-prize winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Contestants also will have a chance to have their work featured on Lela's holiday greeting card.
Art and graphics professionals will judge the artwork. Contest rules, guidelines, and a detailed outline of scholarship awards can be found here.
