The Muscular Dystrophy Association and area business leaders will participate in the MDA "Cure Our Campers" Lock-Up at Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar.
The "Cure Our Campers" lock-up is a benefit in which community leaders are brought to "jail" for having a big heart. These "jailbirds" are required to raise their "bail money" in order to get out of "jail"! The funds will be used to benefit local residents and families living with neuromuscular diseases, such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other forms of Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrohpy, and ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease). Each "Jailbird" is required to raise a bail of $800, which is the amount needed to send one kid to MDA Summer Camp.
