2009 Lafayette Disability Awareness Awards

The Lafayette city parish president's awareness committee for citizens with disabilities, presented the 2009 Lafayette Disability Awareness Awards. October is National Disability Employment Awareness month, an effort to heighten awareness while recongnizing the contributions of americans with disabilities to both our workforce and our society. Awards given in four categories at city hall in Lafayette Today.

1. distinguished merit - Winford Amos
2. outstanding individual with a disability - Carole Glover
3. Outstanding employer - Albertson's
4. Family of the Year - Watkins Family.
