2-Year-Old Shot and Killed Near New Orleans Parade

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a man shot at a moving car and hit and killed a 2-year-old boy in a parked car.
Police say they're looking for whoever killed Jerremy Galmon, who died at a hospital Sunday.
Officer Garry Flot, a police spokesman, says witnesses told investigators that the gunman got out of a dark blue four-door vehicle, possibly an older model Impala, and got back in after the shooting. He says officers saw and chased the car, but it got away.
Police were nearby because a second-line foot parade had recently passed-by. They found a gun, and are investigating whether that's the one that killed the toddler. The boy's last name was originally reported as Dalmon.
