2 Sunday crashes leave 4 dead in Louisiana

HOUMA, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police are reporting four people have been killed in a pair of Sunday wrecks in Terrebonne Parish.

State Police say Tommy Lebouef, 34, of Raceland, died about 8 p.m. when his truck ran off Louisiana Highway 182 in Gibson and hit a tree.

In Coteau, police say a motorist from Lockport crossed the center line of Louisiana 182 near Coteau Road about 9 p.m. and hit an oncoming car, killing the other driver and one of her passengers.

Police say Juan Martinez-Silva, 56, of Lockport, was pronounced dead at the scene as was the driver of the second vehicle, Belinda Leonard, 48.

Police say one of Leonard's passengers John Steve, 34, of Raceland, died en route to the hospital.
