2 plead guilty to La., Texas bank holdups

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Two Louisiana men have pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing banks in Louisiana and Texas.
Sentencing was set for Oct. 28 for 33-year-old Dwayne Hooks and 31-year-old Kevin Brown, both of Mansfield.
On Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Shreveport, Hooks and Brown pleaded guilty to one count of armed bank robbery on the Louisiana charges and two counts of armed bank robbery and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a bank robbery on the Texas charges.
According to The Times of Shreveport, authorities say the robberies occurred in Grand Cane, Shreveport, Pleasant Hill and East Texas over the past year. They were captured in January after the Pleasant Hill robbery.
