LIVINGSTON, la. (AP) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies have booked two more people on counts of felony theft in connection with food stamp fraud.
Trey Williams of the Department of Children and Family Services tells The Advocate that brings the number of people arrested on food stamp fraud in the parish in the past two weeks to 10.
The latest arrests were two former parish residents - 40-year-old Cassie Evans and 42-year-old Gary Tribble. They were booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center after deputies returned them to Louisiana from Jacksonville, Ill.
It was unclear whether the suspects have attorneys.
