2 more accused of copper thefts

DERIDDER, La. (AP) Two men who were being sought in connection with the theft of copper from Beauregard Electric Cooperative Inc. earlier this month have been arrested.

Two other men were arrested earlier this month in connection with the thefts.

Deputies say 24-year-old Max G. Wheeler of Lake Charles was arrested Tuesday and booked with theft and conspiracy to commit theft.

Wheeler was found in Jasper, Texas, and transported to the Beauregard Parish Jail, where he was booked on the charges. His bond is set at $60,000.

A fourth man -- 23-year-old Brad E. Moak of DeQuincy, turned himself in to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office on Wednesday. He has been charged with theft and conspiracy to commit theft.
