2 live grenades found at NOPD headquarters

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say they are evacuating police headquarters after they found two live hand grenades in the evidence room.
Police told WDSU-TV the devices were found Thursday when officers were bringing evidence from earlier investigations to the room, located on the first floor of the building.
The bomb squad has been called in to deactivate the grenades.
A police spokesman did not immediately return an emailed request from The Associated Press for comment.
