PORT HUDSON, La. (AP) - State police say two Baton Rouge residents were killed in a crash on U.S. 61 south Port Hudson in East Baton Rouge Parish.
Trooper Russell G. Graham says 84-year-old Willie Ross Sr. and his passenger, 81-year-old Jonas Ross, both sustained fatal injuries Sunday and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Graham says a preliminary investigation revealed that 19-yar-old Kenneth Cavin of St. Francisville was driving a pickup north when he lost control of it, crossed the median and became airborne.
As it rolled over, Graham says the pickup struck the top of a southbound car driven by Willie Ross Sr.
Cavin sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A third vehicle was struck by debris during the crash and the driver was uninjured.
