MINDEN, La. (AP) - A Webster Parish grand jury has indicted two men in unrelated cases of aggravated rape involving children.

The Times reports the indictments were returned Monday against 34-year-old Michael Dale Downs, of Cotton Valley, and 43-year-old Andre Demery, of Arcadia. Both will be arraigned Feb. 4 in Webster District Court.

Springhill police arrested Downs on Jan. 11. In addition to the aggravated rape indictment, Downs also is charged with one count of forcible rape and two counts each of molestation of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The charges stem from the alleged sexual assault of two children.

Demery also has an aggravated incest charge pending from his arrest on Dec. 7 by the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office. He is alleged to have sexually assaulted one child.
