HAUGHTON, La. (AP) State police say one person was killed and three others injured when a driver ran a stop sign and hit a school bus broadside south of Haughton. Lt. Joseph Mondello says the bus overturned and its undercarriage fell onto an SUV.

It was the second fatal school bus wreck in two days in Louisiana. On Monday, a Washington Parish bus carrying elementary school students hit two parked vehicles outside Franklinton High School, killing the driver and injuring a passenger.

Mondello says the driver who hit the Bossier Parish bus died in the wreck on Tuesday. He says the SUV's driver and a 12-year-old boy with her were seriously injured, but the bus driver suffered only minor injuries.

Mondello says no students were on that bus.
