2 Enter Not Guilty Pleas in Sex Cases

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Two people recently indicted in unrelated
federal child-sex cases have pleaded not guilty in Lafayette
federal court.
Gueydan Fire Chief Lindsey Troy LeBlanc pleaded innocent Monday
to two counts of attempting to receive child pornography and one
count of attempting to coerce a minor to engage in criminal sexual
acts.
the 43-year-old LeBlanc is scheduled to appear for a detention
hearing Thursday. He is being held without bail.
Earlier Monday, 21-year-old Daniel James Broussard pleaded not
guilty to four counts of attempting to coerce a minor to engage in
criminal sexual acts and one count of production of child
pornography.
U.S. Magistrate Judge C. Michael Hill
scheduled Broussard's trial date for Oct. 4.
