COVINGTON, La. (AP) - Covington police say two Covington High School students were arrested on campus and have been booked with selling marijuana.

Chief Richard Palmisano said the arrests of 18-year-old Matthew Lumpkin and a 16-year-old girl were made Wednesday afternoon, the result of a three-month undercover operation. The two allegedly sold police 1 1/2 pounds of high grade marijuana with an estimated street value of $3,000.

Police spokesman Capt. Jack West said police also seized $116 in cash, a 1995 Ford Explorer and a 2000 Pontaic Sunfire, according to a report on the arrests in The Times-Picayune.
