HAMMOND, La. (AP) - A Tangipahoa Parish crash has claimed the lives of three people, including two children.
Louisiana State Police say a car driven by 26-year-old Sarah Robertson, of Independence, failed to yield at an intersection with U.S. 190 just before 10:30 a.m. Tueaday. Troopers say the car struck a Ford F-250 pickup driven by 26-year-old Alan Grice, also of Independence.
Robertson and two of her passengers, 5-year-old Skyler Ciccio and 12-year-old Mandy Dennis, were pronounced dead at area hospitals. Two other passengers in the car, 20-year-old Travis Tackett, of Kentwood, and a 4-year-old child were hospitalized with moderate injuries at Northoaks Medical Center.
Troopers say all passengers in the car were properly restrained at the time of the crash.
Grice was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
