2 booked in D'Iberville gun shop burglary

Police have arrested two Louisiana men and booked them with the theft of multiple weapons from a D'Iberville gun shop.
D'Iberville Police Capt. Clay Jones tells The Sun Herald that 27-year-old Kevin Parfait and 30-year-old John Ross Harold, both of Houma, defeated an alarm system at Cook's Gun Shop early Thursday and stole 24 handguns and a rifle.
A D'Iberville officer saw a suspicious vehicle in the area of Wieck Road and Popp's Ferry Road at about 1:40 a.m.
Jones says Harold was taken into custody after the vehicle ran off the road, went through a field and hit a tree.
Parfait fled on foot, Jones says, and was arrested by Biloxi police at about 7:30 a.m.
It was not immediately clear whether either suspect has an attorney.
