WEST MONROE, La. (AP) - Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested two men accused of robbing a West Monroe bank.
19-year-old Mark Redmond and 28-year-old Kerry Gayfiefld, both of West Monroe, were arrested Tuesday in the parking lot of a nearby shopping center.
Chief Deputy Marc Mashaw said deputies were called to the Community Trust Bank after two men broke into the bank through a rear window and removed an unknown amount of money.
Mashaw said the bank was occupied at the time, but no one was injured.
The two suspects left the building but were arrested a short time later in the parking lot of Key West Plaza.
It was unclear whether the suspects have attorneys.
