2 Arrested in Lake Charles Slaying

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Authorities say two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that happened near Sowela Technical Community College in Lake Charles on June 14. 36-year-old Carlos L. Manor and 25-year-old Diamond F. Jenkins were booked Tuesday with
second-degree murder. State District Judge Mike Canaday set Manor's bond at $600,000 and Jenkins' bond at $100,000. Authorities say on the day of the shooting, deputies, responding to a report of shots being fired, found 22-year-old Brandon Dicks lying on the ground at a mobile home park.He had reportedly been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.Detectives haven't released the motive for the slaying. It was not immediately known whether Manor and Jenkins have attorneys.
