THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - An undercover sting in Lafourche Parish
has resulted in the arrest of two men and the seizure of cash and
thousands of dollars worth of illegal drugs.
The parish sheriff's office said Thursday that 29-year-old
Keitha Gabriel and 27-year-old Stephan Singleton, both of Raceland,
are being held on various charges, including possession with the
intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Sheriff Craig Webre says more than 50 grams of crack cocaine,
five grams of marijuana and $7,500 in cash was seized from
Gabriel's car. During a search of his home, Webre says, agents
recovered an additional 30 grams of crack, an undetermined amount
of marijuana, a .45-caliber handgun and drug paraphernalia.
District Judge Jerome Barbera set bond for Gabriel at $125,000,
and $35,250 for Singleton.
