2 arrested in home-improvement fraud cases

LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies have booked two men on three counts each of home improvement fraud.

One of the men also was arrested and booked with allegedly discharging septic tank wastes on the ground near a residence in Albany.

The fraud cases involve elderly victims paying for work that the men never returned to do.

Deputies booked 48-year-old Mark Edwards and 26-year-old Glen Sullivan Jr., both of Holden, on three counts of home improvement fraud and three counts of business contracting without authority.

Sullivan was also booked with illegal discharge of sewage waste.

It was unclear Thursday whether the men have attorneys.

Authorities say their investigation continues.
