PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (AP) - Ascension Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested two people and are looking for two more in the slaying of a Baton Rouge man whose body was found in a closed lounge's parking lot.
Lt. Col. Paul Robert, sheriff's chief of criminal operations, says fishermen discovered the body of 27-year-old Joshua Banks shortly before daybreak Saturday in the parking lot of the Alligator Bayou Bar. The bar has been closed for several months.
The Advocate reports 20-year-old Montrell Antoinie Lemon of Baton Rouge and 30-year-old Jerelyn Lemon Stovall of Houma were arrested Monday and booked on counts of second-degree murder.
Robert says arrest warrants have been issued to two more suspects in the slaying.
He said that deputies believe the shooting happened at the bar but are still investigating the motive.
