Two people were arrested Sunday after they purchased ingredients to make meth, according to a news release.
Morgan City Police Officers received a tip about the suspects buying items from a local drug store and began an investigation that led them to a residence located on Arkansas Street in Morgan City.
Officers identified several subjects in the residence and obtained evidence of a clandestine lab used to produce Methamphetamine, a Schedule II CDS, according to police.
Arrested were the following:
James Michael Murray, 24, of Morgan City, was arrested and charged with: Create or Operate a Clandestine Lab for Manufacture of CDS-Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia.
Lynette Ann Guidry, 31, of Thibodaux, was arrested and charged with: Create or Operate a Clandestine Lab for Manufacture of CDS-Methamphetamine; Possession of Schedule II CDS-Methamphetamine Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
They remain incarcerated with no bond yet set.
