The Lafayette Parish School System hosted their annual golf tournament March 4th at The Farm d'Allie Golf Club in Carencro, Louisiana. The tournament was in support of the Superintendent's Scholarship fund, which awards graduating high school seniors from Lafayette Parish with a one-year post-secondary scholarship.
Through the generous support of several South Louisiana individuals and organizations, we have been able to award over $300,000 in college scholarships over the past 16 years. Their sponsorships have been able to provide numerous Lafayette Parish high school seniors with this wonderful opportunity since many may have otherwise been unable to obtain the funds needed to continue on the path of receiving their secondary education.
This year's turnout surpassed our expectations and had the largest turnout to date. We were able to raise $45,000 for our student's scholarship program and had 124 players participate.
