1 Suspect in Custody in Child's Death

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police have arrested one of two men wanted in the shooting death of 2-year-old Jeremy Galmon. Police say Galmon was shot in the head as he sat in a parked car on Sunday.
28-year-old Jamiron Pollard was arrested at a home in the eastern New Orleans Wednesday afternoon. He was booked with one count of first-degree murder, because the victim was younger than 12.
His cousin, 21-year-old Bernell Pollard, remains at large. He is also facing a count of first-degree murder.
Police say the toddler was sitting in a car with his grandmother when someone opened fire on another car nearby. Galmon was hit by a stray bullet and died later at a local hospital.
