NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say there haven't been any
arrests in a shooting that killed a 32-year-old woman and injured
four other people after a walking parade had passed.
Orleans Parish Coroner's Chief Investigator John Gagliano tells The Times-Picayune that Kaamila Muhammad
was shot in the head.
A news release sent Monday by city police says three men were
grazed and another woman was shot in the knee Sunday evening.
Officers were in the area because the Black Men of Labor had
just held the second-line parade.
According to police, a man walked up to Muhammad and fired two
shots at her, and a total of at least six shots. Police found a
.40-caliber semi-automatic handgun half a block away.
