SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating a fatal accident that closed southbound Interstate 49 south of Shreveport for about five hours.
Deputies say the driver of a northbound car lost control, crossed the median and hit a southbound UPS tractor-trailer Tuesday morning.
The wreck killed a passenger in the car. Deputies say the driver and a second passenger were taken to a Shreveport hospital.
The UPS driver was not hurt.
The names of those involved in the accident have not been released.
