1 killed, 1 injured in Union Parish crash

FARMERVILLE, La. (AP) - State police say one man was killed and another hospitalized following a single vehicle accident un Union Parish.
The accident happened early Wednesday morning on La. Highway 33 near Farmerville.
Troopers say a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche was northbound when it ran off the road and hit a tree.
The driver, 22 year old Charvis Buggs of Farmerville, was taken to Union General Hospital with moderate injuries. The passenger, 19 year old Kenneth Goodjoint of Farmerville, died a short time later at a Shreveport hospital.
Troopers say Bugg will face charges of DWI, careless operation and no proof of insurance when he is released from the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
