1 Injured in Gas Compressor Station Explosion

SHONGALOO, La. (AP) - An explosion at a natural gas compressor
station near Shongaloo has left an employee critically injured.
The explosion at the DCP compressor station happened at about 4
a.m. Wednesday.
Officials say an employee was conducting a site inspectiediwhen
the accident occurred. The employee, identified as Heath Warford,
was transported to Springhill where he was then airlifted to a
Shreveport area hospital for treatment of critical burn-related
injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
What caused the explosion remains under investigation.
