1 arrested in La. after Miss. bank robbery

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Police in Gulfport are reporting the arrest of a man in connection with the robbery of a Whitney Bank branch.
The man, 24-year-old Markis White, was found Wednesday in Louisiana's Tangipahoa Parish. White's home town was not available.
The robbery happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday at a Whitney Bank in Gulfport, where an undisclosed amount of money was taken.
The police website said White was being held in Louisiana, awaiting extradition.
