The team spent the night in New Orleans, arriving back in Lafayette Sunday afternoon as champions.
KATC was the only TV station at the Athletic Complex as the Cajuns returned home.

KATC has confirmed that the Ragin' Cajuns just left New Orleans around 11:45 this morning.
You can welcome back and cheer on the Cajuns at the Athletic Complex in Lafayette around 2:00 this afternoon when they return home.
We will have a full recap on the game last night and fans reactions coming up on Acadiana's NewsChannel at 5:30 and 10 tonight.

The UL Ragin' Cajuns football team began their journey to the biggest game in decades.
New Orleans bowl bound, the team loaded onto buses at Cox Communications Athletics Complex at 1 P.M. today. Fan lined the street to cheer on the team.
There are only about 100 tickets left!

With only five days left before the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Ragin' Cajuns football fans have taken the invitation personally, purchasing almost 18,000 tickets to see the Cajuns take on San Diego State University at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, December 17.

The Ragin' Cajuns football team will depart as a team from the Cox Communications Athletics Complex on buses at 1 p.m. on Tuesday to head to New Orleans, La. for the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Fans are encouraged to come and send off the players as they are set to make the school's first bowl appearance in 41 years.
The team is estimated to arrive at the Marriott hotel at 3:30 p.m. in New Orleans.
