MIAMI (AP) - The first named storm of Atlantic season, Andrea, has formed over the Gulf of Mexico and was likely to bring wet weather to parts of Florida's west coast by the end of the week.

A hurricane reconaisance flight has recently returned and has found a center of circulation in what is now Tropical Storm Andrea. Landfall is expected Thursday evening around the Big Bend of Florida.

Over the passed few days a cluster of thunderstorms have caught meteorologists attention. They have slowly organized and have drifted northward, and although the center of the storm is hard to find it looks like it might become the first tropical storm of the season.

The May 31st tornado that raced across central Oklahoma near the town of El Reno has been classified as an EF-5 tornado with winds over 200mph. Mobile radar shows this tornado had peak winds of 296 mph and a width of 2.6 miles. This breaks the old record of 2.5 miles set back in 2004 (More)
