A planning meeting for "American Idol" contestant Joshua Ledet's homecoming, Saturday, wrapped up this afternoon. Tickets for his homecoming pep rally will be given out tonight starting at 8:00. Tickets are free, and there is a maximum allotment of two tickets per adult. Tickets are needed to attend the show, and they're available at 8:00 at Westlake Managan Center Gym at 1000 McKinley Center in Westlake and the McNeese Field House Ticket Office, just north of Cowboy Football Stadium, at 700 E. McNeese Street in Lake Charles. "Distribution sites will remain open until all tickets are dispersed. This will ensure that all patrons visiting the venue on the day of the event can enter and exit the building in a safe and orderly manner," said Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Special Programs Coordinator Jason Barnes.

Joshua Ledet received another Louisiana treat ahead of his "American Idol" performance tonight. After receiving notice about Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne's "Feed the Dream" project, The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce knew it had to get involved. Dardenne started the project after Ledet mentioned on the show that he missed Louisiana food. Since then, Ledet has received boudin, jambalaya, crawfish and tamales.
His latest care package was shipped from New Iberia restaurant Clementine Fine Dining and Spirits. Executive Chef Benjamin Montgomery made two gallons of chicken, duck and andouille gumbo, froze it and shipped it to Ledet. The gallons are enough to serve 12 people.
On another note, presale begins Thursday for the American Idol live tour at the Cajundome on July 30. Presale runs from 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. and the password is Top10. There is a four ticket limit on the presale tickets and an eight ticket limit when tickets go on sale to the public on Friday. Ticket prices are $62.00, $42.00 & $26.50.

"American Idol" hopeful Joshua Ledet and a few lucky ones will be dining on crawfish etouffee Wednesday, April 25th, thanks to the Louisiana Lt. Governor's "Feed The Dream Campaign", St. Martin Parish Tourist Commission and the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival Association.
The smothered crawfish, 10-pounds of it, was cooked by two time Etouffee Cookoff Champion David Dugas. The Parish Tourist Director Dona Degatur Richard shipped the etouffee and rice overnight to Los Angeles. C.J.'s Seafood in Breaux Bridge provided the crawfish.
Richard said Crawfish Etouffee was chosen because of Breaux Bridge being the Crawfish Capital of the World and the upcoming Crawfish Festival, which will be held May 4, 5, & 6, 2012.
Ledet, 20, from Westlake, has wowed judges and crowds with his singing during the 2012 season of the Fox show. Under Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne and the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, Ledet and the American Idol group have enjoyed boudin, jambalaya, tamales from Zwolle, oysters on the half-shell, boiled crawfish and strawberries.
